Among the trade fairs organized for this year in Cuba is the International Fair of Equipment for Hotel and Tourist Services, HOSTELCUBA, scheduled for May 17-19 at Havana’s PABEXPO exhibition site.
Jointly organized by Pabexpo and FIRA Barcelona (Spain), the fair’s objective is to take another spin on a type of event previously held in Havana under the name TECNOTUR.
In an area comprising approximately 4,300 square meters, the event is expected to be attended by nearly 300 exhibitors, mostly from sectors of great interest.
Among these sectors are those supplying equipment for hotel and catering services and items, as well as others related to management, information technology control and security, textile items and uniforms, furniture and decoration, bakery and cleaning utensils.
According to FIRA Barcelona’s C.E.O. Ricard Zapatero and Luis Gutiérrez, PABEXPO’s director of fairs and exhibitions, HOSTELCUBA features among the three new international events scheduled for 2016 as part of the annual program of fairs and exhibitions that have PABEXPO as their main venue.
Zapatero praised FIRA Barcelona and PABEXPO’s choice of Cuba as a meeting point where companies and visitors both from Latin America and Europe can find technologies and get as much support as needed in all senses.
Luis Gutiérrez noted that the objective is that the island becomes not only a host of fairs but also of important congresses for America and the Caribbean. Hence, local authorities are focused on this goal, while reworking ideas, programs and extending business contacts.Share on FB Share on TT
